In order to succeed with an application for a visa to visit family / friends in the UK or visit the UK as a tourist, you will need to provide the UK immigration authorities with sufficient evidence to convince them that.

1. You will have sufficient funds available to you to cover the cost of your return flight to the UK, as well as the cost of your accommodation in the UK and your daily living expenses whilst you are in the UK without you needing to have recourse to public funds.
