JUST COLLECTED VISAS After years of talking about it and months of planning we have just collected our visas spousal/dependant. What a mixture of relief, excited and exuberant expectant hope for what’s to come. I had an exorbitant quote from a UK based visa agency recommended to me by the British Horse Society as I was offered a position to work in a top equestrian yard in the UK. I needed a Tier 5 Sports visa as I am a South African passport holder. Horrified by the fees, I wondered if a local SA agency would be cheaper, so I Googled UK Visa/immigration experts in SA and Gavin’s details popped up. Not only was he based locally in Cape Town but sounded very competent having previous experience working in the UK with a wide knowledge of the different types of visas. We first contacted Gavin to assist us with our Tier 2 working Visas in early February 2020. From very early in the process Gavin began pointing out potential pitfalls in our application and it became clear that he was very clued up with the UK visa application process. So happy, Just got my 10 year UK visa today, took 2 weeks… and cost 15 grand. But at least I don’t have to go through the process again! Gavin was the only person that advised me correctly and with confidence as he has worked first hand with the visa people for years. Everyone else I phoned was triple the price or more, knew less than me and told me not to apply for a 10 year visa, as I needed to start off with 6 months, then move onto 2 year etc, as I hadn’t been to the UK for 18 years.
